Absolutely breathtaking! Being a member of Canterbury Cathedral Friends is so rewarding to be a part of history, and to help fund and contribute towards a better community and provide kindness - staff where so helpful and a joyful in the hotel, and it was a absolute pleasure to have this experience of the fantastic stay and the amazing experience to wake up to the cathedral.

We’ve just returned home from a wonderful stay at Canterbury Cathedral Lodge and we really can’t put into words what an amazing time we had. From the minute we checked in, every member of staff was so friendly, with a cheery hello in the corridor to impeccable service at dinner. The dinner was absolutely astounding, please thank the chef and kitchen staff on our behalf – the food was divine. Not just a fabulous hotel in beautiful surroundings, but the staff really made the whole stay outstanding. We shall definitely recommend to all our friends, and shall also return for another visit. Hello I think I can speak on behalf of the participants in saying what a pleasure it was to be based in the Lodge during our Cathedral residency. The enquiry process was smooth and clear, the responses prompt and helpful. Food and beverages were of a high quality and well presented. The breakfast/dining room was a beautiful, airy space looking out onto nature. The staff at Canterbury Cathedral Lodge were among the kindest, most responsive and helpful I have ever encountered -- the best blend of professionalism and warmth. Just a few lines to say thank you for our stay at the Lodge last week. It was great in every respect – hospitality, facilities and breakfast. "It is clear from the start that this is a quality establishment. For £106 including breakfast, parking and entry into the Cathedral, this has to be the best value hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms are big enough and very comfortable, the bathrooms include the most powerful shower I have ever experienced. The breakfast was wonderful with both buffet continental and hot fried breakfast. The location could not be more perfect within the grounds of the Cathedral complex and the cherry on top of the cake was that we had free entry into the Cathedral. "Not a doubt, the charming and well kept secret city of Canterbury would not be as perfect if not for our stay on the grounds of the Canterbury Cathedral Lodge. I was recently there with my daughter, visiting a few schools, the Lodge shares the same grounds as the Cathedral and King's School. Our room looked out on the majestic Cathedral each time we glance out the window... double WOW to that!! The central location of the lodge was well located and within a comfortable stroll to any of the shopping outlets of the city.
