Archbishops of Canterbury Through the Ages Talk and Afternoon Tea – Monday 27th April
In this talk, Cressida Williams, Archives and Library Manager, will provide an overview of the office-holders of the Archbishopric of Canterbury, focussing on some key individuals across the ages. In this historic year which sees the first female Archbishop of Canterbury, Cressida will also provide a history of the ceremony of the Archbishop’s installation or enthronement. The talk will be illustrated with examples from the Cathedral’s historic collections.
This talk is followed by afternoon tea in the Refectory Restaurant, with the optional opportunity to attend Evensong in the Cathedral afterwards.

14:30-15:30 – Talk on the Archbishops through the Ages
15:30 – Afternoon tea in the Refectory Restaurant

Tickets to this event are £28 per person (10% discount for Friends of Canterbury Cathedral). Full pre-payment will be required at the time of booking and is non-refundable unless we are able to re-sell the places booked. Limited spaces available on a first come first serve basis.
